Don’t Die

Don’t Die explores different tactics to activate a photograph. The series engages alternative picture making methods that do not involve solely going out into the world and photographing something indexically. Instead, the work incorporates constructed images, digital manipulation and, in some cases, physical alteration. Through these investigations the surface of a photograph itself, is brought to the forefront, allowing for varying interpretations of meaning and interrogating representational qualities of the medium.
